Filming (hopefully) done! At Last!
Today's blog is about finishing the rest of the shots that were not finished on a previous filming day. So after the previous filming, I rested for a bit because it was getting a bit exhausting going back and forth to get the film. So this blog is about filming after resting. After about a day (or two) I then went on to finish the last couple of scenes. I decided to change the scene of the flashback. Instead of talking to someone I decided to make it a call and include the hand swinging down to a blurry view of the phone. By doing that I saved the time of trying to find someone else to try and get the shot. I wouldn't want to bother someone else with the tedious task of re-recording the action of standing in one place. So after deciding on that change I set up the camera to record me lifting the phone to my head and acting as if I was talking on it. And after that, I had to try and record a close-up of the phone going down but I didn't want to just separate the clip and zoom in on it. As a result, I came up with the idea of getting a family member to tilt the camera for me to follow the phone (Negotiation-100). So after a couple of scenes, I recorded a quick clip of me walking over to the bushes then the fun part came. So first I set up the tripod at the side of the bushes to not be directly behind me when I enter then record the camera going through the bushes behind. This was to create a kind of transition. I then moved the tripod to view the street and then I jogged down the road a bit but not too far. I came back to being it and hold the camera upside-down the view my legs to have it shake. I did this because I wanted the change in atmosphere to be apparent. I wanted the tone to be instead of going on a walk for a meet-up to be kind of frightening. I then settled the tripod up once again to look at a shop that is down the street. I then (with permission from the owner) set down a letter on a chair and then recorded myself sitting on it. And then I got up quickly which finished that clip then opened the letter but only flipped it open. I finished off the rest of the shots by having a close-up of the letter coming out of the envelope with just the word help. I also recorded a shot of me looking up to the sky/street quickly. This shot may or may not be included depending on whether or not it fitted in.
